Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., one of the new members of the radical “Squad,” introduced a resolution on Wednesday to have the Republican representatives who challenged the Electoral College’s certification sanctioned and potentially removed from office.
Bush announced her intention to draft this resolution a rogue group of individuals coming from a Trump rally stormed the US Capitol during Congress’s joint session Wednesday, forcing lawmakers to evacuate.
However, several radical leftist members of Congress had previously floated the notion as a means of intimidating dozens of GOP colleagues who backed the effort.
Democrats have issued similar challenges to the results in every Republican presidential victory since the start of the millennium, and perhaps even longer.
“I believe the Republican members of Congress who have incited this domestic terror attack through their attempts to overturn the election must face consequences,” Bush said.
“They have broken their sacred Oath of Office,” she continued. “I will be introducing a resolution calling for their expulsion.”

Other Democrats have demanded that President Donald Trump be held responsible for the violence, with several—including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and other Squad members—calling for Trump’s immediate impeachment and removal.

More than 100 House Republicans a handful of senators objected to the certification of electors from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin.
Bush’s resolution would only punish Republicans in the House if it were to pass, but she also demanded that Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., be removed from office for supporting the challenge to the Electoral College’s certification in the Senate.
